Help
This site will help you learn to touch type, or improve your touch typing speed.
To use it:
Click on the link to the course you wish to do above (if you are not sure which one you want, do the
Quick QWERTY course).
On the course page, start at the first question. Click the 'start' button to begin, then in each input box,
type identical text to what is shown above it.
Follow the instructions, making sure you use the correct fingers for the keys, and do not look at the keyboard while typing.
Repeat the question until it shows you have 'passed'. This will happen when you have made fewer than 3% errors.
You can redo a question by clicking the 'start' button again.
Once you have passed a question, go on to the next.
Tip: Do not bother to go back to fix an error, this does not reduce your error rate.
These lessons are also available in a standalone program, gtypist.
